Few days earlier, Google has released Android 2.3 Gingerbread SDK to developers. Peter Alfonso one of the Android developer has released the ported version of Gingerbread keyboard for rooted Android devices. As Gingerbread SDK includes all new keyboard with new settings besides a lot of other new features.
Now, if you want to install Gingerbread Keyboard then you must have Android 2.2 Froyo installed on your rooted Android device. As a precautionary measure, just proceed further at your own risk.
Download and Install Android 2.3 Gingerbread Keyboard On Rooted Android Device
Download keyboard.zip and then rename it as update.zip
Now, attach your Android phone to computer and copy update.zip to SD card of your device
Boot your Android phone into Recovery Mode and select apply sdcard:update.zip from available options there
Reboot your phone and under Input Method select Android Keyboard
Now, your Android phone is equipped with Gingerbread keyboard, enjoy it.
