Since Japan’s baby population is on the decline it only makes sense that the country is now churning out robotic babies instead. Osaka University professor Minoru Asada and Hiroshi Ishiguro developed the new M3-neony robot to research motor skills. In addition to the physical aspects of the somewhat creepy toddler, the robot will also be used to test machine learning software.
