Samsung Series 9 laptop priced at $1,649
The feature-rich and utterly gorgeous Series 9 laptop from Samsung has just received its US pricing and unfortunately it’s a bit of a whopper: $1,649. For that outlay, you’ll be getting a 13.3-inch screen, an LED-backlit display with 400 nits of brightness, Intel Core i5-2537M dual-core processor running at 1.4GHz, 4GB of RAM, and one super-speedy 128GB SSD. Samsung 9 Series laptop coming in February
We didn’t have a date for Samsung’s 9 Series when it became official a couple of days ago, but now we do: it’s coming next month. Sammy’s press release makes sure to run us through all the bodacious specs of this 13.3-inch machine, including the LED-backlit display with 400 nits of brightness, 128GB SSD, 1.4GHz Core i5-2537M CPU, and MacBook Air-like proportions, before disclosing its arrival month as February 2011. Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s Pine Trail Netbook
Along with the C200 All-in-one desktop PC, Lenovo also announced the Ideapad S10-3s netbook. Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s gets a slim lightweight design which is basically the slimmer version of the earlier S10-3 model. Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s netbook features a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display.

Asus reveals its Windows 7 Eee PC 1005PR, still gets the price right
Asus is taking the cover off the next big release in its popular line of Eee PCs, the 1005PR, which resides in the same family as the company’s excellent 1005HA “Seashell.” The new machine boasts a 10.1 inch LED backlit display that — with the 1005PR’s onboard HD decoder — is capable of displaying HD content in 720p. The 1005PR also takes advantage of Intel’s newer Pineview-M N450 processor that the CPU maker released late last year, which is geared toward netbooks and helps improve battery life.

Samsung shows off P580 laptop
Samsung has extended its P-Series of notebooks, with the 15.6 inch P580 notebook pitched squarely at the more serious pro market.
The P-series boasts either Core i5 or i3 processors, can come with Nvidia GT 330M graphics and an LED backlit display.
Samsung has also chucked in what it describes as the borderline oxymoronic ‘heightened industry-standard security’.
