Samsung shows off four new Bada phones
Samsung has used a Russian developer conference to show off its plans for its proprietary smartphone platform.
The Korean company will be releasing four new phones in the near future based on Bada, on top of the forthcoming Samsung Wave.
There’s very little information on the new phones apart from the slide depicting them – but we can see they’ll all be cheaper than the Wave.

The new Bada phones will come in two forms, two full touchscreen devices and two with horizontally-sliding QWERTY keyboards, like the Genio Slide.

Samsung unveiling first Bada phone 14 Feb?
Samsung’s first Bada phone looks likely to be announced at its press conference at MWC later this month.
Samsung’s official ‘tipster’ account (which was the same teaser site and Twitter feed that built up hype about the Jet) has been posting about the upcoming press conference in Barcelona this Sunday.
In its feed, the site is offering such hints as “Something is glittering in the Ocean” and “We’re unpacking a new product Feb. 14th. Activate your thinking caps, everyone!”

Samsung announces Bada mobile OS, SDK sets sail in December
Because what the world needs now is yet another mobile operating system, Samsung has announced its foray into the field with Bada. Not much to reveal at this point other than some key PR speak: the name means “ocean” in Korean,
the company’s committed to “a variety of open platforms” in mobile industry and it plans this to be easy to integrate / customize based on carrier’s experience. All real news should be coming sometime in December, when Sammy is saying it’ll have a London launch event and reveal the SDK.
