Apple has released Safari 5 web browser for Windows and Mac users and claiming that its 30% faster as compare to Safari 4, 3% faster than Chrome 5.0, and over twice as fast as Firefox 3.6.

Apple announced the fourth major release of mobile operating system which is renamed to iOS 4 from iPhone OS 4. The iOS 4 Gold Master Candidate with the SDK is available now to the registered developers whereas the iOS 4 update will be released to all iPhone and iPod Touch users in free on 21 June, 2010 and iPad will get that in fall 2010.
Several beta versions of the iOS 4 have been released before as first iPhone OS 4 Developer Preview and beta 2 was revealed in April 2010, whereas beta 3 and beta 4 were released in May 2010.

Microsoft has added a bit of social spit and polish to its Bing search engine. In a bid to keep gaining on its main rival Google, the site has added a number of social-networking related features which are meant to enhance searching.

Yahoo has released two new iPhone apps for Search and Sketch-A-Search this month, with the latter app being a particularly innovative new location-based searching tool.

Microsoft has launched the official Facebook fan page for its Bing search engine.
Following a first post on Friday, the site has picked up 22 fans at the time of writing, although the first attempts at publicising it have only just started in earnest.
