Modern Warfare 3 biggest entertainment launch ever
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the biggest entertainment launch ever, according to Activision, with the the games company managing to shift 6.5 million copies of the first person shooter and make $400 million in the first 24 hours of release – and that’s just in the UK and US.
The launch has smashed through a record that was previously held by Call of Duty: Black Ops and before this, you’ve guessed it, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Other records broken include the number of people on Xbox Live at any one time, which happened because everyone was playing Modern Warfare 3.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay (Video)
Activision has released a new trailer for the upcoming game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Although there are still many unanswered questions, gamers are finally getting a feel for what the game will look like.
In addition to the trailer, we have also learned a few details about the game’s release: it turns out it’s going to be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and it’s coming out on November 8th this year (then again, titles are often delayed at the last minute).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 To Be Announced Next Week

Yes you read that right ! The countdown to the next in the award winning Call of Duty series has begun! The developers behind Call of Duty, Activision, has started sending out dogtags which has the URL www.findmakarov.com printed on it.
Navigation to this URL brings up a countdown timer, which is set to expire in just under 5 days time.
This according to CrunchGear will lead to the announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (unconfirmed title).
The last title in Call of Duty series was Black Ops, which was released in 2010 and smashed all time sales records.

Batman storms Game BAFTAs
Batman: Arkham Asylum won the best game of 2009 at the Videogame BAFTA awards in London this month.
Eidos/Rocksteady’s sublime game based on the dark knight scooped two Video Games Awards and Uncharted 2 took four, and Nintendo’s creative powerhouse Shigeru Miyamoto was honoured with an Academy Fellowship.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was nominated for eight of the 13 awards and along with Best Game took the BAFTA for Gameplay, which anybody who has played the game will no doubt agree was fully deserved.

Modern Warfare 2 video game surpasses $1B in sales
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hit another milestone as the best-selling video game has passed $1 billion in retail sales since its launch in November.
Activision Blizzard’s record-breaking game is second only to James Cameron’s Avatar film, which also passed $1 billion and is on its way to passing up Titanic as the biggest box office hit of all time. According to BoxOfficeMojo, Avatar has generated $1.34 billion in sales so far. More people have seen the film, since movie tickets cost less than the $60 game. As hundreds of fans flock to Leicester Square tonight for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, many gamers are already playing the game and posting on Twitter about it.
