What’s this? The second coming of the iPhone 4? Sure enough, Tim Cook just pulled the covers off of the hotly-anticipated iPhone 4S here in Cupertino, making 2011 the first year in the company’s current stint in the smartphone business that it chose to launch three new handsets (Verizon’s CDMA iPhone 4 included, of course). On the outside the 4S looks exactly like its predecessor, but on the inside it’s “all new.” Apple has jammed a dual-core A5 CPU inside alongside a new dual-core GPU that supposedly boosts graphics performance by up to 7x. Up front is the [...]

Samsung has never failed to amaze us with its lineup of Android handsets. The Samsung Galaxy S has remained the company’s flagship device for quite sometime and now all eyes are on its successor, the Samsung Galaxy S II, to take the handset to new heights. The obvious question however, is that how does the Galaxy S II measure up against the current best smartphone out there, the Apple iPhone 4. Pocketnow has made an extensive video review of Samsung Galaxy S II vs iPhone 4, and we’ll be sharing it here for you, along with our own thoughts.
First up, is the price. The iPhone 4 is affordable [...]

Apple has just made its second-generation iPad official! It features a 1GHz dual-core A5 chip and, finally, cameras, both on the front and rear. The new CPU is said to be up to twice as fast, with graphics performance up to nine times better than on the original iPad, while power requirements have been kept the same. Battery life is, consequently, unaltered, with Apple promising 10 hours. Pricing, too, has been left unchanged, starting at $499 for a 16GB WiFi-only iPad 2 and stretching up to $829 for a WiFi + 3G SKU with 64GB of storage. The new tablet will come with an HDMI output [...]
All of those of you that wanted an upgraded Google Nexus S – your wish has been granted, if you consider a new colour an upgrade.
TechRadar got a little look at the new handset on test, and if you’re in the market for something different when it comes to a new mobile, then the White Nexus S will at least set you apart.
First impressions make it feel like all Google and Samsung have done is chuck a while plastic cover on the back of the phone, but thankfully it’s a little more than that.
Firstly, the whole inside of the phone is now white when you pop the cover off, [...]
According to a report published by AppleInsider, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities has come up with a report saying that iPad 2 won’t get higher resolution screen and will be using the same 1024×768 of the original iPad.
The report says:
The improvement of iPad 2 display focuses on thickness and anti-reflection, not resolution. iPad 2 display module is 30~35% thinner than iPad 1 and it’s helpful for better form factor.
Thanks to anti-reflection, iPad 2 could have better sunlight readable experience and it’s helpful for Apple to compete with Amazon’s fast growing Kindle business.

It’s been an eventful year at I Blog Fashion; such that I’ve had little time to actually blog. Let’s take a bit of a look back on the year that was. Wishing you all an amazing 2011 filled with good weather and absent of any water restrictions, cancelled flights or thermal ‘fashion’. Here’s to the new year. A xx

The month that gave Ireland its first installment of the Big Freeze. Unaccustomed to dressing for Baltic temperatures, I Blog Fashion spent a lot of time wearing her sister’s climbing boots. Who would have guessed they’d be reprised [...]
What a day — yesterday, that is. Research in Motion finally announced its long-awaited BlackBerry tablet, the 7-inch PlayBook (thankfully not named the BlackPad). While there’s still quite a few missing details, and nary an unit in site for us to try first-hand, we’ve still got a sampling of specs for this little guy to go tête-à-tête on the quantitative field of proverbial battle, at least as it can be seen so far (that early 2011 release date is still a ways off). Looks very promising so far, lined up against Apple’s iPad, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, and the [...]
A video has been published by SmartPhoneMedic on YouTube of what is claimed to be the LCD display and assembly parts of the upcoming iPod Touch 4. The hole for a front facing camera (yay, FaceTime!) is visible in the shell while the overall look resembles iPhone 4’s design language.
Compared to the iPhone 4, the iPod Touch assembly is a bit smaller. Other than that, there is clear evidence that a retina display will be there in the new iPod. The back wasn’t shown in the video so don’t get your hopes high on a camera for taking pictures and shooting video until Steve Jobs announces it [...]
