Korea’s finest have been very coy on the dual-core and Honeycomb update to the Galaxy Tab 7, the 7 Plus. We knew that Austria and Indonesia would get it by the end of October but didn’t know when it was likely to land in the States, or how much it would cost when it got here. Fortunately, it has now been spotted at J&R.com, where you will be happy to know that the 16GB version will cost $400, while the 32GB costs a bit more at $500. Now they just need to tell us when the thing will actually arrive.

The much anticipated ASUS EeePad Slider emerged at IFA 2011, and we were lucky enough to grab a hands-on with this mythical portable at the Nvidia stand at the show.
You can’t look at this tablet without getting down to its raison d’etre, and that’s the built in keyboard which is revealed by sliding back the screen.
It’s smaller than we’d have hoped, and more cramped than the Asus Transformer, which is its main competitor. If you have fat fingers then you’ll need to find a different tablet to write your memoirs, but even chunky-digited folk will still be able [...]

Samsung Germany has apparently confirmed that the Galaxy S will get an Android 2.3 Gingerbread update in March 2011. The news was revealed at a Samsung blogger event in Frankfurt today, and tweeted out by Frank Feil according to SmartDroid.
We’re assuming, however, that this refers to the European Galaxy S, likely kicking off with the unlocked versions of the Honeycomb smartphone. US carrier-specific variants will probably have to wait a lot longer; some, like the Captivate on AT&T, have only just got Android 2.2 Froyo after all. Oddly enough, Samsung Italy is only just preparing to [...]

Meanwhile, Verizon’s decided to bring us the latter half of the abruptly cut Xoom TV ad, which actually differs significantly depending on whether or not Spanish is your primary language. Either way, [...]
