The Sony Personal 3D Viewer was instantly one of the most talked about products at IFA 2011 when CEO Howard Stringer unveiled the device at the company’s press conference.
What began as a prototype at CES 2011 in January has now become a fully fledged product for Sony and this is one we don’t see any other company emulating anytime soon.

Sony is ramping up its efforts to bring 3D Blu-ray releases, announcing that the infrastructure to do the 3D conversion process is being put into place.
It’s no secret that Sony is backing the 3D horse. Its announcements at CES 2010 were 3D specific, building on the promise the company gave at IFA 2009, where CEO Howard Stringer noted: “The 3D train is on the track, and we at Sony are ready to drive it home.”

Samsung’s booth had a spectacular display, made up from many smaller displays. Classical music came from the ceiling and created a cone of beauty amid the noisy show floor.
