Chronic Dev Team has released Corona v1.0-7 to fix some iBooks issues, and just after its release v1.0-8 is rolled out which address iBooks image loading bugs for iPhone 4S. As the world went into frenzy last night over the newly launched iPhone, which rather disappointingly turned out to be the iPhone 4S and not the much longed for iPhone 5. However, there was one improvement that caught our attention. The improved onboard camera now boasts an 8 megapixel sensor, up from the 5 megapixels on the 4 along with an f/2.4 aperture lens for improved low light shooting. The company put out a teaser video for its “Google Episode” of Unpacked occurring on October 11th (we’ll be there live, by the way), stating that “something BIG is coming.” And if you’re not looking close enough, you may completely miss the brief glimpse Sammy gave us of a device with a curved screen. Sure enough, Tim Cook just pulled the covers off of the hotly-anticipated iPhone 4S here in Cupertino, making 2011 the first year in the company’s current stint in the smartphone business that it chose to launch three new handsets (Verizon’s CDMA iPhone 4 included, of course).
