Apple doesn’t just make tablets, you know. No! It makes phones, too!
We know the iPhone’s on an annual upgrade cycle, so a new one is due by the summer – and that means it could be announced as early as next week.
Despite Apple’s best efforts details of the next iPhone are beginning to leak, but what’s coming and what’s just wishful thinking? Let’s find out.

Apple’s Magic Mouse is nice looking, to be sure, and those touch gestures look handy. But it’s got a rep for not being the most comfortable peripheral to use, for better or worse. But hey, that’s nothing some clever MacGuyvering can’t fix.
This $10 block of silicone with a suction cup on the bottom is apparently the perfect way to make the Magic Mouse a lot more ergonomic. It supports your palm and lifts it up a bit so your fingers rest comfortably on the buttons. Sure, you could buy a mouse that felt good out of the box, but would that mouse be made by Apple? I didn’t [...]
Apple’s Magic Mouse can recognise four points of contact on its touch-sensitive surface, but only two-fingered gestures are catered for by default.
Don’t take this personally though, because there’s a great application that helps you get the most out of your Magic Mouse by adding new gestures, three-and four-fingered taps and clicks.
MagicPrefs is a free download, which can be found here. Once you’ve run it for the first time, it appears as a System Preferences pane or you can manage it through an optional menu bar icon too.
From the new preferences window, your Magic [...]
Hey Windows users: what would you risk for a mouse of such mystical persuasions that it has the word “magic” right in the product name? How about $69 for the mouse followed by a few sleepless nights after installing a .exe found in the murky shallows of the internet? That’s what it’ll take to install some hacked drivers,
said to enable Apple’s Magic Mouse gestures, on your Windows rig. The drivers were extracted from the latest Bluetooth update targeting Mac owners running Windows under Boot Camp, but now there’s nothing stopping you from trying them too.
