We reported that the next big update of Windows Phone 7, commonly known as ‘Mango’, could ship as early as September 1st. Now, the final build of Mango, which was allegedly finalized last month, has been unexpectedly leaked to the public and is now available for download.
The just-leaked RTM build’s version number is 7.10.7720.68 and can indeed be downloaded by any current Windows Phone 7 user out there, whether they’re currently on NoDo or a previous build of Mango, although the latest version of the Zune client (4.8.2134.0) will be required. Poor Nokia, between having to abandon its Symbian baby and hawk anachronistic wares at a Microsoft event, it’s had a pretty rough go of it recently. Now India’s Ministry of Home Affairs wants to block the launch of the company’s new push email service until a monitoring system can be put in place. According to The Economic Times, the Department of Telecommunications is being asked to hold back the service until the intelligence community has a way to spy on messages being sent. British TV personality and radio DJ Jonathan Ross was invited to a secret Microsoft event this week, in order to try out the company’s new Project Natal motion control tech.
Known for his love of videogames, Ross concluded that Natal was good, but still in need of some tweaking before its October 2010 launch.
