Microsoft Working on Zune HD2?
Rumors of the Zune HD2, a next-gen entertainment device that would run Windows Phone 7′s spiffy Xbox Live games, have been kicking around for months. But a new Microsoft job listing suggests that now it’s actually in the works.
The listing, which was dug up by WMPoweruser, calls for a mechanical engineer to help build “the next generation of portable entertainment and communication devices” for Microsoft’s Portable Entertainment Group.

Microsoft set to launch own-branded Pink phones
Microsoft looks set to launch its own hardware in the shape of the much-vaunted Pink phones next week.
Reuters is quoting a ‘source close to the matter’ that the phones are set to be announced next week, with a different moniker than the Pink codename.
The new phones, which have been mentioned in various leaks over the last year, will be QWERTY-enabled messaging devices, with a strong focus on the social networking youth.
Samsung has been attacking this demographic with its Genio/Corby range, low cost phones with lower-end specs but instant access to social networking.

Today Microsoft unveiled Phone 7, the latest version of their Windows Mobile platform, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain.
Microsoft may have been making operating systems for portable devices since long before they actually had phones in them, but lately they’ve been losing traction to Apple’s iPhone, RIM’s BlackBerry, and the Android, so the big question is whether Phone 7 can turn the tide back towards Redmond.
