Note: Dropbox for BlackBerry was released today — and an updated version for iOS was also released. This is a review for the Android version, but I believe all three are functionally very similar.
Using Dropbox on a mobile device is an odd amalgam of emerging technologies. On the one hand you have the cloud –and everyone loves the flexibility that the cloud brings — but on the other, when you’re on the move, head hunkered over your smartphone, do you really need access to anything other than documents?
Having said that, there are certainly unconventional uses for Dropbox [...]
In a new video, the guys at Pocket Now have compared Windows Phone 7 to iPhone. This is a closer look at how the iPhone differs from Windows Phone 7. As the video mentions, the home screen layouts are completely different. The iPhone goes for the all about the applications look but the Windows Phone 7’s home screen covers all areas of the phone using Tiles which can show live data.
The video also covers fast app switching or the lack of it in Windows Phone 7. And then finally its all about the music play controls where they think that Windows Phone 7 seems to be a bit more intuitive than [...]
This should be huge for Apple. iPad will be officially launching in China on September 17th, in WiFi flavor only though. iPad was launched a few months ago and has captured a lot of market despite having launched in only a few countries so far. The step into China should increase their market share1 tremendously.
Here are the retail prices for WiFi iPad models in China:
16GB: CNY3988
32GB: CNY4788
64GB: CNY5588
The retail prices for iPads in China are only marginally higher than their US counterparts. We foresee great success for iPad in the Chinese market, but you can never be too sure. [...]

Apple introduced Ping, the music based social network, with iTunes. While opinion on it may vary, if you don’t like Ping and you don’t want to deal with another social network, you can simply disable it.
If you turn off Ping, all your profile information will be permanently removed after seven days. Apple is giving a turn-off-Ping remorse period to their users. Even if Ping is deactivated, the reviews that you would have posted will remain with your profile name until you remove them yourself from the manage reviews section of your account.
Here’s how you can turn off Ping:
After opening [...]
Most of you would have definitely seen the concept images of iWatch which looked nice but I never thought Apple would design anything like a touch watch. It would be useless as far as I am concerned. But looks like the new iPod Nano is small enough that somebody actually used his new iPod Nano as a watch.
This guy somehow connected the straps of a watch with iPod Nano to make it an iWatch. I don’t think anybody can use it as a watch for a long time because it has a clip on its back and the would have trouble listening to music from this position.
Still, the iPod Nano can be a great watch with [...]
