Nokia N9 is one of the most beautiful devices Nokia has ever made. The shape, its body – every aspect of the phone speaks out how much Nokia has put into the phone. The new (not so new now) Nokia N9 is an elegant device that runs on Meego, a Linux-based Operating System, which Nokia has now killed down.
I have been playing with the device for a while now, and in a few words, I ‘d like to sum it up that if you want a phone to impress people, then this is the one to get you should get.

I remember when last year Ufone started taking pre-orders for Nokia N8 in Pakistan. Yes I took that offer and wrote an hands-on overview. This time it’s not like that but it seems that Ufone is going to promote the beautiful Nokia N9 in Pakistan. However Nokia N9 has already been available in markets officially. I am not sure what purpose Ufone will serve for Nokia N9 now. Probably a lower price tag and a few promotional gifts?
Frankly! I am not sure but as the poster above is showing a special plan for Ufone customers which is “Call at 50 Paisas/min” if they purchase Nokia N9 with Ufone [...]
Sure, they might look the same, but are they actually the same? Inside that smooth, shapely polycarbonate shell lies internals that are actually significantly different between these two. How different? Well, the guy on the left, the newly-unveiled Lumia 800, has a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The guy on the right? That’s the ill-fated N9, and it packs a 1GHz TI OMAP chip with 1GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. Inside the chart below lies the information you need, and the deltas you crave.

Now that we know how the iPhone 4S stack up against the iPhone 4, let’s take a look at how Apple’s latest smartphone compares to its mightiest competitors on the other major platforms — Android and Windows Phone. In Google’s camp we chose the superlative Samsung Galaxy S II models (focusing on the announced US variants) along with the Motorola Droid Bionic for its qHD and LTE chops.
We then picked the upcoming HTC Titan to bat for Microsoft’s team. RIM’s not included here since it’s still stuck in the junior leagues. We left out the intriguing Nokia N9 [...]
Chinese rip-off merchants have been crafting N9s since before the handset even existed and by now they’re pretty good at it. This latest bogie comes in at just $64 — way cheaper than a genuine budget smartphone — but it still manages to pack in dual SIM slots, a mock iPhone UI and a resistive touchscreen that gives you the ergonomic pleasure of pressing everything three times. Sure, we have a few misgivings about the lack of functioning apps and the blurry 1.3MP rear camera, but then even the N-Man himself has the occasional phony moment.
Update: We switched the pic to show you [...]
Well, we’d seen plenty of pictures of T-Mobile’s new myTouch 4G Slide over the past couple of weeks, and now it’s official. T-Mo officially pulled the wraps off its newest handset, and it’s packing a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and a 3.7-inch WVGA Super LCD screen. As for software, the slick slider comes with some tasty Gingerbread slathered in Sense 3.0. There’s also an 8-megapixel shooter that does low-light photos with a wide-aperture lens capable of f2.2 — just like that new Nokia N9 that has us all hot and bothered. The camera also has [...]
We don’t know if this device is “super confidential” or not, but we’ve just come across yet another Nokia N9 lookalike with a non-MeeGo operating system on board. Well, it looks that way, anyhow. There’s no way to verify that the Android homescreen we see above is a legitimate Gingerbread installation and not a mere screenshot (the resolution looks all wrong, for one thing), but the source of this image is the same Chinese fellow that posted a picture of Nokia’s Windows Phone prototype, the Sea Ray, way back in May, so we’re inclined to believe he’s [...]
The first Nokia Windows Phone has been revealed by Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia, and it looks very familiar.
Codenamed Sea Ray, the phone is pretty much identical to the recently announced Nokia N9 and we will be the first to admit that its showing in a video is very brief.
This is because the video of the phone was filmed covertly at an event where Elop asked for all imaging equipment to be turned off.
Super confidential
“This is something that is super confidential,” explained Elop in the briefing and picked up by WinRumors.
“We do not want to see it out in the blogosphere [...]
Nokia has finally taken the wraps off the long-awaited N9 phone, bringing with it the first viewing of MeeGo on a handset and jamming a boatload of top-end technology under the hood.
The new handset is rocking MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan, and comes with a 3.9-inch OLED display (no mention of Nokia’s top-end ClearBlack technology though) which runs to a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA).
MeeGo brings with a fancy new UI, with no traditional home screen for widgets and icons; instead we get the standard scrolling menu of applications, and list of missed calls and social networking feeds and [...]
Nokia has to do something big if it wants to crack the US smartphone market. We can agree on that, right? And believe us, Nokia wants this — nothing will make the mighty Finns (and the company’s global investors) prouder than to gain some traction in the home of Apple pie and Google desserts. So how will the company do it? With Symbian? Oh, hell no. By introducing another MeToo handset? Nope, with MeeGo on a rockin’ platform like the rumored N9 slider pictured above.
Nokia announced its hardware plans for Maemo 6 a long time ago. At that time, the company was clear that it [...]
