Download Microsoft Kinect for Windows version 1.0

Today is the day fine folks — Kinect for Windows is here. The official, and commercial, version 1.0 of the SDK just hit the interwebs along with the accompanying hardware for a price of $250, or $150 for qualified educational customers. The tool has picked up a number of new features since the last beta, including support for up to four Kinects being used simultaneously and near mode for monitoring motion from just 40cm away. That salacious onyx number up there? Per CrackBerry, it’s a rendering of RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry codenamed London. Found lurking in a leaked Waterloo slidedeck, the svelte render now sports a more curvaceous and onyx exterior — a departure from the angular metallic P’9981-esque dummy-unit first spied back in November. Those tweaks validate another rumor, which foretold the redo, as-well as the killing of its Milan and Colt siblings. Apple iPhone 4S arriving in Hong Kong, South Korea and a number of other locales on November 11th

Apple is getting ready to add a whole slew of new locations to its iPhone 4S world domination plan. Starting November 11th, the company’s latest smartphone will be available in Hong Kong, South Korea and 13 additional countries, including Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, and Romania. YouTube has unveiled a set of editing features for the site, which allow users to tweak their videos and add a number of effects. In a move that makes total sense – and something that should have been implemented a long time ago – users will now be able to trim their clips on the site, as well as stabilise shaky footage, boost the colours and contrast and even give the video a whole new look. Apple has launched a lawsuit against Samsung in the UK, which marks the latest in a long line of court cases between the two electrical giants. Apple filed the court order this week, according to ZDNet, which brings the total number of patent suits the companies have between them to 20. While this latest court shenanigan is about potential patent infringement, so far the exact patents it refers to are unknown.
