About three years ago Ars Technica has pointed out the Facebook flaw where the photos deleted by its users still exist in the cloud, and accessible via direct links after months or even years. And still there are no improvements done by Facebook to resolve the issue.
According to Facebook’s spokesman:
“Facebooks’s older systems for storing uploaded content did not always delete images from content delivery networks in a reasonable period of time even though they were immediately removed from the site, whereas company is working for new systems which will make the deletion process quicker.”
