Samsung’s premium LED TVs are so advanced that they’re one malfunction away from taking over the human race. From Smart Hub web content and wireless media streaming to 3D, USB support and HD tuners, the Korean company’s high-end sets are packed with flashy features and smart technology that make them more akin to computers than TVs.
But not everyone wants this sort of sophistication. Many people simply want a TV that allows them to watch programmes and play Blu-ray discs without having to do a degree in quantum physics first. That’s where the UE32D5000 comes in. This modestly [...]
Although LG’s passive 3D system has comprehensively proven its worth, at least where relatively compact screen sizes are concerned, it still comes as a slight relief to find that the brand’s 42LV550T doesn’t have 3D built in. It means there’s no need to have to get into the whole passive vs active 3D philosophical debate again, allowing this review to focus solely on the product itself rather than larger issues beyond it.
What’s more, despite its lack of 3D, the 42-inch smart TV has a decent quantity of tricks to get stuck into. The LV550T series does, after all, represent [...]
Over the weekend, a surreptitious new photo of the new HTC Desire 2 hit the world wide web, and in addition to the image, the new handset has found its way into Vodafone Germany’s inventory system (along with several other goodies) — meaning that the second coming of the Desire is likely imminent. Word on the street is that it has a Super AMOLED screen of unknown resolution and runs Android 2.3.1 (Gingerbread). Examination of the spy shot reveals that HTC swapped out the tactile buttons of the original Desire for the capacitive variety, added a front facing camera, and made it [...]

The favorite to win Best Picture, The Social Network, only received the third most nominations of any film, behind True Grit’s 10 nominations and The King’s Speech’s 12 nominations. Some have predicted that The Social Network is no longer a sure fire bet to take the top prize, and while that might be true, I still think it is the odds on favorite so far. The most egregious Oscar snub, in my opinion, is Christopher Nolan’s lack of a directing nomination for Inception. Many thought he was snubbed a few years ago as well when his name wasn’t called among [...]
By now, most of you might have come across this new and creative way to style-up your Facebook profile picture as shown in the image below. Ever wondered how to do it to your profile picture in under 30 seconds? Scroll down for the instructions after the jump.
In case you don’t already know, the credit for this hack goes to a French artist named Alexandre Oudin who used his imagination and found an original way to jazz up his Facebook profile after Facebook rolled out the new design earlier this month. Oudin demonstrated that even Facebook’s simple blue and white layout can be more personalized. [...]

I love to shop. This is a fact undisputed. Yet every December my mojo mysteriously short-circuits resulting in an epic case of Christmas present panic.
Last week, I stood in the middle of River Island with a Galliano style Mohawk hat, a teddy bear iPod cover and a ‘Grow Your Own Sponge Bob’. The mixture of fear and dementia in my face told a cautionary tale. I felt like I was holding kryptonite and felt an additional pang of guilt for whoever was to be schlepped with Mr. Square Pants. And with that, I dropped my armful [...]

I’m a bit late posting this (er…very late!) but I just wanted to extend a ‘thank you’ to street style photographer Dvora who kindly stopped me to take my picture after the Nicole Farhi show at LFW. A shortlistee for Vogue’s Photoblog Competition, Dvora has a real kinship with Ireland having spent lived in Belfast. She took a liking to my coiff and my Queen Mary necklace. Those who know me know that this piece is from Joanne Hynes’ a/w 10 collection and is rarely seen off my neck! I’m always fascinated at [...]
Is this the first picture of the BlackBerry Storm 3? BerryReview thinks so, after a tipster sent it to their mailbox. And I’m inclined to agree—although I wasn’t expecting that trackpad.
If we recall, the Storm 2 and the original Storm both leaned heavy on BB touchscreen-tech SurePress. This Storm 3, though, possibly conceding a point, puts trackpad navigation back in place.
Other details are limited: we can expect a 3.7-inch display, 8GB of internal memory, and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity. As for processor and other specs, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Yesterday, hardmac has revealed the next generation iPod Touch illustration which will be soon announced by Apple and now, macrumors has posted some photos of expected iPod Touch 4.
These new leaked photos of iPod Touch prototype clearly shows that device will have integrated FaceTime camera on the front panel. As you may observe a hole in image below.
This is also expected that iPod Touch 4 will have Retina display and the gyroscopes for gaming which are features of iPhone 4.
