Apple iPhone 4 Retina Display vs Samsung Galaxy S Super AMOLED

Here’s a quick comparison between the iPhone 4′s Retina Display and the Samsung Galaxy S’s super AMOLED. The first thing you will notice is the PenTile Matrix sub-pixels arrangement on the Super AMOLED which make the panel look really inferior to the IPS LCD on the iPhone 4. People will automatically jump to the conclusion that the higher pixel density on the iPhone 4 is the winner here, but this isn’t the case. iPhone 4 Retina Display Supply Problems

According to Analysts report the shortage and delay in iPhone 4 delivery relates to the supply issue of Retina display which is an IPS, in-plane switching technology used by Apple for iPhone 4 and iPad screens. The LG Display Korea is the manufacturer of Retina screens for Apple and this is also reported that company can only produce about 2 million units per month against 4 million and it was planned earlier. Qisda phone delivers an insane 1,280 x 1,024 resolution

How high a resolution do you need on your phone? The upcoming Qisda QCM-330 offers a whopping 1,280 x 1,024 resolution on its 4-inch screen, which is higher than many laptop screens. The phone is being unveiled next month at the CeBIT tradeshow, and it looks like it’ll be coming to Europe on Vodafone. How such a high pixel density will look on such a small screen has yet to be seen, but just spec-wise, it’s impressive.
