While the iPhone got its first screen recording app back in early 2010, Android is only getting a proper screen recording solution today. Well, it’s better late than never, as the screen recording app released today does a whole lot more than simple screen recording: it’s called ScreenCast & Screen Recorder and, well, it lets you record your phone’s screen and take screenshots.
Developed by Media Solution, ScreenCast & Screen Recorder lets users record the phone’s screen. It has a strong feature set, letting users record video at 10-30 frames per second at two pre-set resolutions. [...]

At the over £1,000 and sub £2000 price point there are several DSLRs and compact system cameras (CSCs) that have taken movie capture to a high-spec level. Some offer top-notch settings that promise professional quality and intelligent controls.
When spending upwards of £1,000 there’s a lot to consider: which model produces the best quality footage; which can autofocus with ease (if this is important to your movie making); or how much manual control do you get over exposure?
There’s also a mixture of Four Thirds, APS-C and full-frame sensors available.
We’ve rounded up five [...]
Right on schedule, Panasonic’s gone and made its thinly-veiled Lumix DMC-G3 Micro Four Thirds shooter official. The camera succeeds the G2 with a a 16 megapixel sensor, support for 1080p AVCHD video recording with stereo audio, 4fps burst shooting at full resolution, and an articulating, 3-inch touchscreen that supplants some of the dials adorning the last-gen model. In addition to poking around menus, you can touch that display to focus on your subject, and slide your finger to tweak exposure, white balance, and depth of field — all in all, not unlike how you might interact [...]
So, it’s official. The Nokia X7, unfit for a US launch, has finally found a home with Three in the UK. The heavily leaked stainless steel handset runs an updated Symbian^3 “Anna” (aka, PR2) OS that finally introduces a vastly improved browser and portrait QWERTY with split-view data entry among its 50 new enhancements. Rounding out the specs are an 8 megapixel cam with dual-LED flash, 4-inch OLED ClearBlack display, HD video recording, and 256MB RAM / 1GB ROM with an 8GB memory card tossed in the box. You’ll find the press release, video, and more pic after the break.
Inside the JVC GX-PX1′s gigantic barrel and thin, slim body is a promising camera and camcorder hybrid. There’s a 10x optical zoom, 10-megapixel camera, 1080/60p HD video recording at up to 36Mbps, and can shoot at 60fps at 5.7-megapixels.
The 3-inch LCD swivels and the camera comes with 32GB of internal memory. No price or release date out yet, but it’s supposed to release by the end of the month.
Thought Panasonic was done unleashing Lumix point-and-shoots for a bit? Us too, but apparently the compact cam fun isn’t over yet. Yep, in addition to the eight it released earlier this month at CES, the company has four new ones for your eyes only tonight. Naturally, we’ve got all the important details and few glossy shots below. Oh, and if that’s not enough for ya, you can always hit the break for the full press releases.
Up first are two new powerful shooters joining the ZS family: the DMC-ZS10 and DMC-ZS8. Like the previous ZS cams, the 14.1 megapixel ZS10 has a 24mm [...]
Like the Sony A560 DSLR but need a few million more pixels at your disposal? That’s basically what you get with the A580, a successor to the A550 and doing basically everything the A560 does — but with a 16.2 megapixel sensor. So it sports 1080i recording, a 3-inch tilting LCD, and 7fps burst shooting, but can’t match the continuous autofocus of the funky A55 and its mystical, magical, translucent mirror and overheating sensor. Overall performance and image quality are said to be good, with minimal noise up to ISO 1600 and fancy modes like HDR built in. All yours for about [...]
That’s right, it’s official. Needless to say, that LG Star we recently got our paws on is very real, though it won’t go by that name at retail — just as LG’s own release materials had suggested, this monster has picked up the Optimus 2X name as it morphs from a prototype into brutally fast, overpowered reality. At the phone’s heart beats a dual-core Tegra 2 processor running at 1GHz, the first such configuration to be officially announced by any smartphone manufacturer (though we’re expecting others any day now). In case you’re wondering how [...]
