We’re hearing more reports regarding the release date of the next-generation iPhone and, if you’ve been following us lately, you’ll rightly guess that the report suggests a date in September.
The report comes from China Times which specifies the iPhone 5 launch to the second week of September.

WSJ has reported that Apple is working on the next generation of iPad with a faster processor and a built in camera.
“The new iPad will be thinner and lighter than the first model, these people said. It will have at least one camera on the front of the device for features like video-conferencing, but the resolution of the display will be similar to the first iPad, these people said. It will also have more memory and a more powerful graphics processor, they said.

Ah don’t you just love the way the Google guys keep on with the sweet names for their Android operating system, sooner or later they will run out of ideas, but not for the next version of their OS which will apparently be called Ice Cream.
According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Andrew Munchbach, a report by Pocket-lint says according to “multiple sourse familiar with the matter,” the Android 2.4 Ice Cream operating system is to be released by Google sometime in either June or July of this year.

A new report has revealed that Apple’s soon-to-be-launched iBookstore for the Apple iPad will have 30,000 free books on it.
This is because the Gutenberg Project archive – the self-billed first producer of free electronic books – has been included on the store.
This is a bit of a surprise, considering Apple is very much part of the micro-payment business model approach, but it’s good news for those who will want to start using their iPad as an ebook reader straight away, without dipping into their iPad-sized pockets.

Alistair Darling in his budget report has announced that tax relief is finally coming to the UK videogames industry.
The move means that those who make videogames in the UK will be given tax breaks. This is a bid to bring games design back to the UK, which has been dominated by countries such as Canada.

In his speech Darling explained: “I will help the computer games sector… we need to keep British talent in this country.”

A new report, ‘Building a Digital Economy’, which claims that web piracy will lead to the loss of 1.2 million jobs, has been rubbished by the UK Pirate Party.
