Back in 2008-2009, we saw a big push in casual gaming for mobile devices. This, we think, should be credited to the introduction of online software distribution stores such as the App Store and the Android Market. Developing games for iOS devices was relatively easier because of iOS’ limited hardware variety, but developing games for Android, however, was and is a much more difficult task.
Sony introduced their PlayStation Suite software framework earlier this year for their own Android-powered devices and tablets (Xperia Play and Tablet S/P) as well the PS Vita which allowed PSOne games to [...]

Thanks to nifty lasers, Sharp has created the first 100GB Blu-ray disc. The new Blu-ray format, called VR-100BR1, uses a new triple-layer standard that allows storage space of up to 128GB on single-write discs and 100GB on re-writable discs.
The new max is double the space of the current cap, 50GB, and will give you a whole lotta space for all those extra features no one ever uses (kidding!). The first 100GB discs will be available in Japan later this month for $60 (!). Enjoy your time at the top Sharp, either Sony’s upcoming laser or the overall demise of physical media will topple [...]

Sony’s going to be pushing 3D hard, starting right now. Every PS3 is going to get 3D capabilities through a system update.
Sony’s Demoing the 3D on stage right now. You need glasses, but it looks very much in 3D. If you don’t wear 3D glasses, it’s just a normal screen. But when you do wear glasses, the 3D effect becomes prominent. Stuff close to you might be slightly blurry though, but it’s definitely 3D. Bullets and sparks shoot at your face. Raising up the gun to AIM brings up the gun RIGHT IN YOUR FACE.
