Good news everyone, we’ve got a new batch of Sammy smartphones to feast your eyes upon. Now for the downside: today’s announcement is meant only to whet your appetite for their official unveiling at IFA in Berlin. Fortunately, however, we do have a few tidbits to share. First, the Galaxy W features a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 1.4GHz CPU and 14.4Mbps HDSPA connectivity. Along with that, we’ll see the M Pro, Y and Y Pro coming next week from Samsung — all running Gingerbread.
If these letters are unfamiliar to you, they should be. You see, along with the phones themselves, [...]
We have seen a tremendous growth in the availability of Touch Screen smart phones in the Market.
But someone like me would still want to have a physical keypad just to do things little fast. I currently Own a Symbian Mobile phone and the reason behind buying a Symbian phone was the availability of a physical keypad in Nokia n97. I had to settle down with it despite of the fact that I wanted to try my hands on Android powered mobile phone.
Well, this was in 2010 but thankfully in 2011, I have seen many Android mobile with physical QWERTY keypads.
If you are like me you surely would take a look [...]
Sure, Danger’s servers are going away, but the Sidekick brand belongs to T-Mobile — and that particular component of the teen-friendly smartphone ecosystem pioneer isn’t going anywhere. Of course, the carrier’s been saying for a couple months now that it’d be relaunching Sidekick on Android, but they’re making the device very official today with the unveiling of the Samsung-sourced Sidekick 4G. Though it lacks a swiveling display, T-Mobile is quick to note that the phone’s got a “pop-tilt” mechanism that should still be pretty unique [...]
1. Samsung Galaxy S2
The Galaxy brand has restored our faith in Samsung’s ability to make great phones, and with Google’s Android OS and some impressive touchscreen technology, the S2 continues that trend.
Housed within a supremely slender form, the 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen is an ideal surrounding for viewing your 8-megapixel snaps.
Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and packing a 1.2Ghz dual-core Exynos processor ensures there is plenty of zip for your web browsing and with eye-popping colours it’s perfect for watching a plethora of video formats on the go.
2. Apple [...]
You might remember some discussion of the Lexikon about this time last month, a rumored Android piece from HTC sporting an 800MHz MSM7630 core, a 5 megapixel camera, 3.8-inch WVGA display, 4GB of onboard storage, Froyo with Sense, and a QWERTY keyboard. Sounds a little bit like the G2 / Desire Z, doesn’t it? Indeed, those other models use Qualcomm’s MSM7230 processor, the GSM version of the 7630 that’d be required for action on Verizon. Well, fast forward to a new ROM update leak, showing a rendered device with Verizon branding up top and a face that looks suspiciously [...]
We’ve always been fans of LG’s phone designs, and it seems the new Android handset from the company follows in the same tracks.
The LG LU2300 has been leaked in pictures onto the internet, and looks like LG is finally bringing out the big guns in the Android game.
The pics show a phone with a sleek chassis with a four-line QWERTY keyboard, nestling underneath a WVGA (800×480) capacitive display.
The LU2300 also has a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.1, bringing it well up to speed with the higher end Google-powered phones.
However, there is a little worry that this [...]
