Reuters, reported that YouTube is getting approximately 4 billion video hits per day, as the figure has changed with an increase of 25% since May, 2011. Google relates the increase of Youtube video viewership to the increase of smart mobile devices.
Furthermore, YouTube owner Google also announced some other figures, that about 60 hours of video is now uploaded to YouTube each minute, whereas this figure was 48 hours of video upload every minute in May, 2011.

YouTube has unveiled a set of editing features for the site, which allow users to tweak their videos and add a number of effects.
In a move that makes total sense – and something that should have been implemented a long time ago – users will now be able to trim their clips on the site, as well as stabilise shaky footage, boost the colours and contrast and even give the video a whole new look.
The new features mean that we finally see the fruits of YouTube’s acquisition of image-editing company Green Parrot, back in March.

A new video uploaded today shows an older version of Android running on HP’s now-discontinued webOS-based TouchPad tablet.
The video has been uploaded on YouTube by a user who goes by the name of msacra. It has a bit of a questionable backstory, which goes something along the lines of msacra’s coworker ordering a 32GB $99 HP TouchPad from Best Buy and, on receiving the tablet, it is found that – instead of webOS – Google’s Android OS is installed on it.

YouTube has created a channel, YouTube Person Finder (????), that aggregates video messages from the sufferers of the massive earthquake and tsunami that hit northeastern Japan a week ago.
Videos were being shot at TBS, a major TV station in Japan, and are now in the process of being uploaded.
In December 2010 HTC has released YouTube app for HTC WP7 devices but now the app is hacked and available for all Windows Phone 7 smart phones, in result of the efforts by Tom Hounsell the XDA team member.
